About Me

Hello! I'm Kieran, a petrolhead obsessed with Classic Fords & Drag Racing. I probably wasn't a 'normal' kid as instead of Disney films I grew up watching old VHS tapes of my Dad drag racing his various cars at Santa Pod Raceway, Avon Park & York Raceway. This is probably explains a lot!
In 2003 my Dad built up the Mk1 Escort you know today as Fraudster, there's a dedicated Facebook page for the car where you can follow it's progress - www.facebook.com/FraudsterMk1Escort

2004 Throwback!
In August 2006 I created my YouTube channel and named it Mk1Kieran. Why? Well my Dad had a Mk1 Escort and my name is Kieran! I was only 10 at the time and didn't really have a clue what I was doing. I quickly uploaded a video on the same day of my Dad taking part in the Old Skool Ford track session at Ford Fair, it's now unlisted but you're not missing much as I filmed it on this bad boy!

I didn't really use YouTube much up until 2011 as I was more focused on photography but then I took more of an interest in video, Still being a Teenager at school my budget was pretty low but I saved and invested in a second hand HD Camcorder from eBay, this was a Sony HDR-CX105E which served me well.
In 2012 I gained my YouTube Partnership which gave me a real boost and determination to grow my channel further!
I have had my photography published in Classic Ford Magazine and Retro Ford Magazine. Being a regular for Classic Ford by photographing the Old Skool Ford Drag Challenge and a few other events.
My videos have been featured on some major websites & YouTube channels such as 1320Video, Donut Media, Car Throttle, FailArmy, Top Gear, Hoonigan, Speedhunters, MSN, Jalopnik, BangShift and many others.
In 2014 I became a Classic Ford owner myself purchasing a 1979 Ford Fiesta 1.1L which was completely stock with just 30k miles on the clocks! It's now running a 1700cc Crossflow on Injection and runs the 1/4 mile in 13.6 seconds at 100 mph.
When I first bought it!
and now!
And now!
From 2014 to 2019 I hosted a Classic Ford meet up at Rykas Cafe in Dorking, Surrey. On a monthly basis these meets were well attended with around 70-100 Classic Fords turning up on a Sunday morning. Due to outgrowing the venue and me moving away from the area these meets are no longer.
In 2016 I also hosted a Pre-95 Car Meet on a Wednesday Evening at Hurtwood Park Polo Club with a friend of mine. These were an instant success with well over 100 cars attending every month in a beautiful venue. Unfortunately a change in management and moving away from the area also put an end to these meets.
In 2021 I hit a huge landmark of 50k subscribers and I appreciate each and every one of you and love reading all your comments on the videos, I hope to take a different direction in my style of videos this year so stay tuned!
Kieran
